How much is it?
This page lists the maximum amounts per month. However, this does not mean that you will actually receive that amount. You can make an estimate of how much you will receive, using the calculation tool.
Maximum amounts
Supplementary grant for MBO
For the 2027 supplementary grant we look at your parents’ income in 2025. If your parents jointly earned less than € 48,528.06 per year, you will receive the maximum supplementary grant.
If your parents earned more than that, you may still get a partial supplementary grant. In this case: the more siblings you have, the higher your supplementary grant.
If you don’t have to pay any course fees yet for the 2027-2028 academic year, the maximum supplementary grant from Januari to Juli 2027 is €125.92 lower per month en from August to December 2027 €129.50 lower.

Supplementary grant for HBO and university
For the 2027 supplementary grant we look at your parents’ income in 2025. If your parents jointly earned less than € 43,492.62 per year, you will receive the maximum supplementary grant.
If your parents earned more than that, you often get a partial supplementary grant. In this case: the more siblings you have, the higher your supplementary grant.
