Schools automatically receive extra funding for special circumstances. The board does not need to apply for this. Payment is made each month together with the basic funding (lump sum). 

Pupils with specific educational needs

Schools receive extra funding for minor care support for pupils with specific educational needs. For schools on Bonaire, this is a fixed amount. For schools on Sint Eustatius and Saba, this is a percentage of the basic funding.

Price levels in Saba and Sint Eustatius

Schools on Sint Eustatius and Saba receive extra funding due to the high price level on these islands. This is a percentage of the total amount of the basic funding and the extra funding for pupils with specific educational needs.

Isolated location

If there is only 1 school on the island, that school receives additional funding. This is a fixed amount.
